Financial Aid

Phoenix Country Day School is committed to providing access to outstanding students who, for financial reasons, would otherwise be unable to attend our School. This year Phoenix Country Day School has dedicated over $2 million for need-based financial aid.

Phoenix Country Day School is committed to being an inclusive community with a student body that reflects a broad economic and social mix with a diversity of interests, talents, backgrounds, and levels of involvement beyond the classroom. No qualified student should be deterred by financial circumstances from applying to PCDS, and families who feel they need assistance are encouraged to apply for aid.

Phoenix Country Day School’s financial aid program is designed to provide the difference between what a family can afford to contribute (based on a confidential and standardized needs analysis) and what it actually costs to attend the School. PCDS offers financial aid based on the demonstrated financial need of the family and the availability of financial aid funds. The School recognizes, however, that the primary responsibility for financing a student’s education rests with the family.

Like most independent schools, PCDS uses the services of the School and Student Services by NAIS and current IRS 1040 tax returns to assist with the School’s determination of a family’s ability to afford the costs of private education. To apply for need-based financial aid, parents must complete the confidential online Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) within the SSS by the National Association of Independent Schools.
The SSS code for PCDS is 5770.

Please note that applying for financial aid has no bearing on an application for admission. Financial aid files are reviewed separately from admissions files, and awards are made only after a student has been admitted.

For any questions regarding PCDS Financial Aid, please contact Kristie Berg, Director of Financial Aid, at 602.955.8200, ext. 2228.
