Lower School students may enroll in a variety of after-school programs throughout the year, such as art, chess, choir, coding, golf, LEGO engineering, math, Spanish, swimming, and yoga. Programs may vary, but some of the options offered are described below:
- Creative Kids
Creative Kids gives students an opportunity to engage in independent exploration and guided practice in drawing, painting, and found-object collage assemblages. Evolving themes and the use of a variety of media give students opportunities to have fun via discovery and creativity.
- ¡Hola! Spanish Culture for Children
¡Hola! Spanish Culture for Children focuses on helping students develop their linguistic skills while they learn about different cultures and have fun! Students gain knowledge about relevant aspects of various cultures that are accessed through the Spanish language and build bridges between their own culture and those of Spanish-speaking countries.
- Eagle After-School Swim
The Eagle After-School Swim program provides swimmers at various levels opportunities to learn and practice proper stroke fundamentals, experience low-key competition, and enjoy themselves in the water.
- Children’s Yoga
Students develop the skills for a lifetime of health and wellness in both mind and body as they are guided through a fun practice that encourages physical flexibility, balance, and coordination. Emphasis will be on helping children relax while developing focus and concentration, all while boosting confidence and self-esteem.
