The Memory Project

In art class, 6th graders have created meaningful portraits for Nigerian children who are living through conflict, yet still manage to go to school. Through an organization called The Memory Project, each student was assigned one Nigerian child's photo from which to create a portrait. The project’s mission is to create portraits of kids living through conflict, war, extreme poverty, or natural disasters. The portraits arrived at the Memory Project office in Wisconsin this week, where they will be shipped to Nigeria with other projects from around the United States.
