PCDS tuition does not cover the full cost of educating the individual student. The event was originally named Bridge-the-Gap to bring awareness to that fact. Tax-deductible donations to the PCDS Annual Fund (AF) helps Bridge-the-Gap between tuition and actual costs to run the school (operating budget). The Annual Fund covers a lot of the extras that keep parents from being nickeled and dimed throughout the year.

Nope, but it is a party – a FREE party.  It’s coined a ‘Thank You Celebration’ for our parents, faculty, staff, and alumni – to thank them for all the ways they support PCDS, with a special nod and push for Annual Fund dollars. 

All food & beverages are DONATED. Other items (tables, lighting, linens, etc.) are paid for by the school – we offset these costs by having an online auction and hosted events.

This event is an adult-only culinary festival featuring food and beverages donated by the Valley’s premier restaurants, music, and an online silent auction. There is also an Alumni portion to this event – Athletic Hall of Fame induction which happens prior to the event at the Garvin Walk of Champions and Alumni Reunions commemorated at BTG.  

No. During the event, attendees (and non-attendees) will have the opportunity to bid (via online/mobile) on some silent auction items in the below categories:

• Retail & Dining Therapy
• Beauty & Wellness
• Sports & Entertainment

No, the money from the auction does go to the Annual Fund but does not count towards individual donations because you are receiving goods and/or services. A winning auction item is NOT tax-deductible, but an Annual Fund donation IS tax-deductible!
